I have owned Brooke since she was 6yo. When we got her she had done a few local shows but nothing much and never behaved herself, hence going through four owners in 1 year and throwing the previous owner off twice in two days. So all in all what made me buy her? The only thing was she had nice paces. However after 2-3 months she gained trust in me and realised I wasn’t going to beat her every time she stopped at a fence so she didn’t need to rear up, spin round and throw as many bucks as she could. At her first One Day Event she had Best Dressage in her arena, & at her next few outings she qualified for The Kentish Dressage Festival Championships, Dengie Dressage & Showjumping and many other big events. In March 2010 after deciding I wanted to further my Showjumping career I affiliated both Brook & I and we competed at The Hickstead Derby Meeting which was really exciting but very scary for her, all being good experience for both of us. Since then she has got her confidence back & jumped round her 1st ever derby course only having 1 pole down in the jump off but the fastest time. She has now won a number of classes even at open level against grade A's jumped her 1st ever 1.10m track with just 4 unlucky faults & Won at The Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2011.
