Trigger - Paddy Murphy II
Age: 12 Born: 2003
Sex: Gelding
Height: 17hh
Breed: Irish
Colour: Dark bay
Trigger was given to me on permanent loan in October 2011. When we first got him he had never been to a show, and had been used in a riding school, hacking & some jumping. He is very laid back & well behaved. He was very clumbsy when we first started schooling and jumping him, his canter was very unbalanced & he would knock down nearly every jump, but he was so bold over any size and type of fence I knew he had potential. With a lot of hard work, he now has a much better canter, trot and is very supple and flex's easily & isn't as clumsy. We affiliated him straight away in 2011 and he has done very well. In 2012 he qualified for Scope Festival & Aintree National Amateur Championships, although wasnt placed at the championships this was a great achievement for his first year BSJA. He also got into the championships @ Arena UK.
In 2013 he qualified for the BN & Disco 2nd rounds. He has also jumped round HOYS qualifiers & his first 1.20 tracks with just a couple down.

Dylan- Hambrooke's Little Dylan
Age: 4 Born: 2011
Sex: Gelding
Breed: Welsh Sec A Pedigree
Colour: Bay- 4 white socks
I bought Dylan in March 2015, he was unbroken, so he was to break and produce & for Taz to jump for me & then maybe sell him once he's produced. However he looks & reminds us of Tommy, we have fallen in love with him and are sure he is to keep as a pet forever (like many of our others). Tazmin broke him in herself, with just me to help on the ground, this was the first pony she ever backed completely herself. He was very good & pretty easy- we still get the odd check bronk but he is such a character it is funny & harmless! Taz has taken him to his first ever shows were he won! He has done 6 shows now and even his first affiliated at 70cm, he has had some quiet time for a month during summer, as we didn't want to fully turn him away with his sharp temperament & he is now back out to a few more shows, he will have another month fully turned away during winter.
He is very good now & has a couple of little part loaners that take him on hacks and the odd lesson in the school.

Tinkerbell
Age: 30 Born: 1985
Sex: Mare
Height: 11'2hh
Breed: Exmoor x Shetland
Colour: Bay
I started riding Tinkerbell when I was two. She belonged to our next door neighbour and I continued to ride her until I got my own pony (Tom)when I was five. I did many shows with Tinkerbell wining nearly all of them. When our neighbour & daughter who looked after Tinkerbell died we inherited her. Since then she has taught many more people to ride and even been to shows and won reserve champion in 2010.

Tommy- Very sadly died May 2014, at his home for 16 years with us.
Age: 25 Born: 1988
Sex: Gelding
Height: 12hh
Breed: New Forest x Caspian
Colour: Bay
Show name: Tom Thumb
We have owned Tom since he was 10yo. He was my 1st own pony, brought through Emily Llewellyn’s (top eventer) mother Cindy. Tommy had been there & done everything from leading the young race horses out, to hunting, Eventing and absolutely everything. This pony is 1 in a million. Everybody wanted Tom because he won everything. He wasn’t all that fast but he could turn on a six pence, never touch a pole or even think about stopping or running out. He would jump anything apart from ditches Cross Country but after building two at home he soon got over that. Dressage was his least favourite thing but every judge loved him. My most memorable times with Tom are winning our Pony Club Dressage show with a percentage of 88. Also our local Jumping shows were running a point’s accumulator throughout the year, this was my final year riding Tom & we won the overall points by about 100 in front of anybody else! We won a huge cup and were in the local magazines. The final big competition I remember on Tom apart from Jumping at Hickstead was doing the Working Hunter Pony at The Kent County Show in 2006, I came out of the ring and hyperventilated because I was so nervous, I think we came 6th in the end.

Chessy
Age: 22 Born: 1993
Sex: Gelding
Height: 12'2/3
Breed: Welsh x Arab
Colour: Chestnut Roan
Show name: Chesswood Flamboyant
We have owned Chessy since he was 8yo, he was my 3rd pony. When we got him he'd had a very bad past and was what we called 'shot to pieces'. We bought him without trying him first, so when we got him home the first time I rode him we walked to the end of the school and came shooting across the diagonal ten times quicker than we went up there, then screeched to a halt. However I stayed on and immediately after asked if I could then jump him. Daring child I was. I proceeded to ride him but no body was going to change him, we had a 6ft3 11stone top Showjumper ride him and the pony was still the same. It appeared Chessy was never going to be this beautiful little show pony that he looked. However I still insisted to take to him shows besides mum saying he's too dangerous he will kill somebody & there were times like this, but I had many successes on him. One major being the Hickstead Mini Jumping, I was 5th out of about 100 in the championship and had he not bolted off in the jump off trying to take me in the opposite direction we might not have wasted a good 5 seconds and could have won! But never mind these things happen.
Since I stopped riding him & decided to loan him out to people he has been really good in teaching people to ride & looks after everybody that rides him. However if a very experienced rider was to get on him he would still pull out his old tricks!

Olly/Alfy
Age: 14 Born: 2002
Sex: Gelding
Height: 14'2/3hh
Breed: Welsh x Arab x TB
Colour: Chestnut
Show name: Baronsdown Bollinger
The character of them all never misses a trick! We have had Olly since he was two; I backed him and schooled him with the help of my trainer Roseanne Liversidge. When we first got Olly he was skin & bone & had lice, worms & an extremely long coat. It's been one hell of a journey with him and he has only started to mature at the age of 10, and you wouldn't know it. He has embarrassed me so many times, I now expect it & if he behaves, well that’s just a bonus. He's galloped through tack stands at shows with me on him trashing every bucket & piece of equipment on display, been thrown out of warm up's for being too dangerous & the best of them all, attempting too kick the dressage judges car! Since he has matured he has been placed 2nd twice Eventing in 2010 & BSJA 2011 won 2 classes after not long being affilated & 2nd @ The Royal Windsor Horse Show.
He does however adapt to the rider on him, he can be very laid back and look after someone who has never ridden before.

Sex: Gelding
Height: 14'2hh
Breed: Welsh Section D X
Colour: Dark Bay
Show name: Woodmans Wizzard
Woody was my mums horse, she has had him since he was a 4yo. He has improved a lot over the years and now teaches many people to ride. When we first brought him he'd had a bad past making him very scared of everything & everyone. Since then he has done many shows with mum, I & my pupils. He did very well in dressage & really enjoys sponsored rides. He loves jumping but is very spooky although he has done very well recently winning many jumping classes with my pupils. He has recently been in the local newspaper for winning at the local show & we hope he will continue to teach people to ride and enjoy the competitions that he does every now and then.
