Well, another qualification was in store for me & Ria on Saturday. 6th in the Novice Top Score Windsor Qualifier & 3rd in the Open Top Score Windsor Qualifier.
Very well done to Cerys, Charlotte, Jack, Tazmin, Gemma & Shannon who all did extremely well at Blue Barns Showing Show. Especially Cerys who came 1st in her 1st ever show & also Gemma who also went into the championship with Cerys for coming a close second. Lilly (the pony) also did extremely well in her 1st ever ridden show coming 3rd & 6th (with me riidng)! she behaved very well, for such a long day for a young pony. This coming weekend we are out both days!
Saturday we are off to Duckhurst with Ria to do the Royal Windsor Top Score Qualifier. Sunday I'm doing M&M on Lilly at PUK show at Blue Barn. We are also taking 5 of my pupils to this show that will be competing on Tinkerbelle, Woody & Tom. Well, Oliver behaved a little better than last week, jumping clear in the 1st round of the Dengie qualifier. This meant it was time to get whizzed up ready for the jump off. So out came mum and the lunge whip to try and get him forwards and stop bucking. Scaring nearly every horse in the warm up! Oops! But the trick worked and he had the 2nd fastest time in the class with just 4 unlucky faults.
We then went onto the next class coming a close 2nd place! We had everybody gasping for air in shock of the tight turns we pulled off, as well as the many comments on how nippy that little pony is! (On a good day) |
