Day 1

Brook jumped a lovely double clear in the 1m & did every turn possible, but was a bit slow as she had no studs in 1 hind and 1 in the other and the same in front, so i had to be a bit careful as she was slipping a lot! They annouced she was into 3rd place in at time of 34 seconds infront of my friend who was a couple of places down and there was only 60 more to go, so we hoped that she wouldnt move down that much as the top 12 qualify for the main arena. When the results were announced my friend was in front of me, and i still hadnt been called out which we thought was strange so after looking at the results she was 24th/160 in a time of 40 seconds. It was all a bit mixed up but the judges were confident they had made a mistake and i was never in 3rd on 34 seconds, but never mind!
Trigger had 4 faults in the first phase jumped really well!
Brook then went into the 1.10 amateur and had 4 fualts on a down hill double away from the gate, i set her up on her hocks then she decided she would nap to the gap so i had to send her on a tiny bit so she took it out in front!

Day 2
Trigger jumped a lovey double clear in the 1m but didnt go fast enough to qualify as i didnt want to risk a pole! He came 29th/190!!
Brook had 1 down in the 1.10 amateur, just very lazy!

Day 3
Trigger jumped the newcomers which was quite up to height and just had 1 down in the last part of the combination, but he was extrmely tired as the rings at Hickstead are massive, he felt exhausted like i had to lift him over every fence!
Brook jumped the 1.20 which is only both her and i second time at this height! She jumped really good and clear into the jump off then just had an unlucky stop at the double, was going a bit fast and she likes to check out doubles/combinations but she didnt touch a pole so i was really pelased!
