We had a very busy day and had to do a number of trips to the show with different horses. First I rode Roxie in class 1- 1'6 so that she had been in the ring before her owner Tash could do the next class, and have more confidence on Roxie. She just had an unlucky pole. I then rode River in the same class, who had never been to a show before and never jumped more than two fences together, she was a bit spooky and checked every fence out by trotting into them but she got more confident as she went round and had a double clear and a fast jump off, to end up winning the class!
Tash did class 2 on Roxie and just had another unlucky pole, but it was Tash's first show and she was very nervous so she did really well.
I then did class 3 on Roxie and had another pole in the first round and the jump off, but we were pleased with her as its only her 2nd ever show and she is still learning a lot.
Daisy also took Woody in class 1 and jumped a lovely clear in the first round. And was going really well in the jump off when they had an unfortunate fall on the slippery ground, but luckily both where OK.
Sofia rode Tom in the clear round and had two lovely clears. Zuzka rode Woody in the clear round and also had a lovely clear. Alex also did a lovely clear round on Tom, but then decided to do another which didn’t go as well as the first and had a fall when tom took a stride out and put a massive leap in. But Alex was OK and got back on, to jump the next jump and fall off again! But he got back on, and finished the course- very brave!
